Mojacar Playa

Below the Moorish village of the Pueblo, lies, in stark contrast, the beach resort of Mojacar Playa. Modern buildings restaurants, beach bars, real estate agents, hotels, ice-cream parlours, sandy beaches with the warm Mediterranean sea lapping up on to it’s shore. Kilometres of beach, all with free parking, and a promenade meandering along side the lower end of the beach via some of the beach bars, which make a welcome place to stop and refresh oneself with a cool sangria or tinto verano.
For those who don’t like the crowds, a short drive along the beach reveals generally unpopulated beach coves and the less commercial beach bars.

If it’s more shopping you want then, the Parque Comercial will cater for your needs from supermarkets to furniture, knickers to banks, baguettes to mobile phones, and all along the Playa there are sprinklings of good boutiques, beauticians, art galleries amongst the restaurants and bars. Nothing is very far away and for those without a car a frequent bus service will take you from one end of the Playa to the other.
